Lenox is a small residential community adjacent to the City of Pittsfield in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts. As the summer location for the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood, together with Shakespeare and Company at Edith Wharton's grand estate, the Mount, and several resorts/spas, tourism plays an important economic role in supporting a modest commercial base.
